Courses
Scuba Courses which you may take at UF include:
- PEN 1130 - Skin Diving
- PEN 1136 - Open Water
- PEN 2138 - Advanced Open Water
- PEN 4135 - Dive Master
- PET 4791 - Instructor
Note: To be eligible to attain certification for all courses, you must:
(a) attend all pool sessions
(b) receive an overall grade of 80% on the final written examination
(c) receive a score of 100% on all exam decompression problems given in the course.
(d) pay all required fees to the DOCE
(e) successfully complete all open water dives.
(f) be recommended for certification by your instructor.
(g) be counseled up to 100% on the final examination.
Note: Students should recognize that courses covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of scuba diving and failure to comprehend any portion of the material will be detrimental to understanding subsequently presented subject matter; this may also lead to failure of the course as well as rendering the student ineligible for certification. Recommendation for certification rests solely with your instructor and the instructor may withhold such certification for any reason, which in his/her opinion is cause for non-certification. Obtain a copy of the syllabus in case you have any questions concerning scuba diving at the U.F.
