Refund Policy
- No refund of the DOCE fee will be possible for any reason after the fifth week of the term.
- Refunds prior to the 5th week will be based on a 20% per week refund schedule. This includes all fees paid to DOCE.
- No refund of Leadership courses will be made.
- Do not contact DOCE regarding refunds. All such transactions must first be cleared with your instructor and the Director, UF Academic Diving Program.
- If you become ill, incapacitated, or for any reason are absent from one or more pool or open water dives you will not be certified during the term in which you matriculate. You will be allowed to complete your certification during the next term only by successfully attending the pool or dive session(s) previously missed. If more than two (2) pool sessions or more than one (1) open water dive is missed you will have to re-take the course in order to attain certification. If you have questions regarding this policy discuss them with your instructor before you decide to continue in this course.
- The student may make-up legitimately missed open water dives by making special arrangements with a UFADP instructor for a private diving experience. The fee for this service is $50.00 per diving day (2 dives per day maximum) plus UF equipment rental fees payable by check to University of Florida and sent to DOCE.
- No refunds of any portion of the DOCE fees will be made for students who are not certified for any reason, pursuant to item #1 above. This is inclusive of certification fees, keys trips, or other dive fees, etc.
